Despite the higher initial cost, the superior finish and durability of premium paints typically justify the investment.

We primarily use latex paints, though oil-based paints are occasionally employed. Latex paint is versatile, suitable for most surfaces, and offers a wide range of finishes. However, it's not ideal for metal surfaces due to its water base. Oil-based paints, while more durable and excellent for high-traffic areas, are used sparingly as they tend to show signs of aging more quickly.

It is possible to apply latex paint over an oil-painted surface, provided proper preparation is done. With adequate surface preparation and sanding, a high-quality latex paint will adhere well. However, it's important to note that the reverse - painting oil over latex - is not recommended.
